Recap: Clemson vs. Massachusetts

Charleston, SC ( - Cady LaLanne posted a double-double as the Massachusetts Minutemen took home the 2013 Charleston Classic Championship with a 62-56 win over Clemson at TD Arena.

LaLanne finished with 20 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks for UMass (6-0). Derrick Gordon added 10 points while Chaz Williams had only four points on 1- of-12 shooting from the field.

Rod Hall scored 16 points and K.J. McDaniel chipped in 14 for Clemson (5-1). Devin Coleman went 4-of-4 from the floor and scored 10 points off the bench as well.

In the first half the Minutemen nailed 51.7 percent of their shots from the field and held Clemson to 26.7 percent from the floor to take a 34-24 lead at halftime.

The Minutemen cooled to 29.4 percent from the field in the second half but hit 6-of-10 free throw attempts to keep the Tigers at bay.

UMass outscored Clemson in the paint (38-28) and in second chance points (19-10).
