Recap: North Dakota St vs. Rider

Santa Clara, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Mike Felt came off the bench to score 23 points as the North Dakota State Bison took down the Rider Broncs, 87-70, in the championship game of the Cable Car Classic at the Leavey Center.

Marshall Bjorklund scored 19 points on 8-of-9 from the field for NDSU (4-3), while TrayVonn Wright put up 17 points and six rebounds. Carlin Dupree added 10 points, and Lawrence Alexander handed out eight assists.

For Rider (2-4), Anthony Myles matched Felt's game-high with 23 points, while Jimmie Taylor and Kahlil Thomas chipped in with 14 and 10 points, respectively.

NDSU outshot Rider from the field in the first half, 53.9 percent to 37.5 percent, as it held a 38-29 advantage at the break.

The Bison actually improved upon their field goal shooting after intermission, making a lofty 69.2 percent of their attempts from the floor as they pulled away for the 17-point victory.

NDSU outscored Rider in the paint, 46-26. The Bison's bench scored 33 points, while the Broncs' reserves had just 19 points.
