Recap: Harvard vs. TCU

Anchorage, AK (SportsNetwork.com) - Laurent Rivard scored 15 points on 5-of-11 from beyond the arc as the Harvard Crimson downed the TCU Horned Frogs, 71-50, in the championship game of the Great Alaska Shootout.

Jonah Travis netted 11 points for Harvard (7-1), while Siyani Chambers and Evan Cummins added 10 points apiece. Wesley Saunders scored just four points be he stuffed the stat sheet elsewhere with nine assists, eight rebounds and four steals.

For TCU (4-3), Kyan Anderson poured in a game-high 20 points, doing so on 6- of-11 from the field and 7-of-8 from the free-throw line. Jarvis Ray contributed 13 points to the losing effort.

Harvard opened the game on a 33-10 run through the first 12 minutes and eventually went into the halftime locker room with a comfortable 48-25 advantage.

The Horned Frogs were never able to get closer than 13 points of the lead in the second half.

Harvard finished the contest shooting an impressive 49.1 percent from the field, while TCU struggled at a lowly 25 percent.
