Recap: Arizona State vs. Coll of Charleston

Fullerton, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Jahii Carson scored 21 points as the Arizona State Sun Devils pulled away in the second half for an 80-58 triumph over the College of Charleston Cougars as part of the Wooden Legacy at Titan Gym.

Jordan Bachynski finished with 16 points and Jonathan Gilling tacked on 15 for Arizona State (7-1). Egor Koulechov chipped in 12 points as well.

Anthony Stitt tallied 12 points and Adjehi Baru had 11 points and nine rebounds for Charleston (2-5).

At halftime the Sun Devils held a 36-30 lead. Arizona State hit 51.7 percent of its shots in the period, including 4-of-10 from beyond the arc. The Cougars fell off the pace by hitting on 43.3 percent from the floor.

After the break the Sun Devils turned in a 56 percent shooting effort while the Cougars struggled, netting only 27.6 percent from the field.

Arizona State scored 22 points off turnovers while Charleston managed to force only five takeaways.
