Recap: St Marys-CA vs. George Mason

Honolulu, HI (SportsNetwork.com) - Bryon Allen and Patrick Holloway netted 15 points apiece to lead the George Mason Patriots to a 65-63 win over the Saint Mary's Gaels in the seventh place game of the Diamond Head Classic.

Johnny Williams added 14 points for George Mason (6-6), which snapped a four game skid.

Stephen Holt and James Walker III each scored 14 points and Brad Waldow contributed 10 points for the Gaels (9-3), who have lost three straight.

Five of Allen's points came during an 11-2 run that gave George Mason its first lead with 2:42 to play. Beau Levesque ended the run with a trey that came with 38 seconds to play. A pair of Allen free throws made it 65-62 with six seconds to go. Holt then split a set and Anali Okoloji missed two, leaving the door open for St. Mary's, but they failed to get off a final look.

George Mason shot just 8-of-22 from the field in the first half and trailed, 31-26.
