Recap: Georgia Tech vs. Boston College

Atlanta, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - Marcus Georges-Hunt's four-point play in the final second propelled the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets to a thrilling 74-71 victory over the Boston College Eagles in ACC action at McCamish Pavilion.

Daniel Miller scored 18 points and Georges-Hunt and Kammeon Holsey each added 15 for Georgia Tech (13-12, 4-8 ACC), which had lost four of its previous five. Robert Carter Jr. chipped in 10 points.

Olivier Hanlan finished with a game-high 21 points for Boston College (6-18, 2-9), which has lost four straight. Ryan Anderson tacked on 13 points and Joe Rahon tallied 11.

Boston College held a slim, 35-34, lead at halftime. The Eagles shot 46.4 percent from the floor in the first period, while Georgia Tech was at 41.2 percent.

Both teams shot well in the second frame, with the Eagles netting 56 percent and the Yellow Jackets turning in a scorching 77.8 percent effort. The teams traded leads three times in the final minute. First, Georges-Hunt hit a layup to put Georgia Tech up 70-69 with 22 seconds to play. Hanlan then hit a fall away jumper from the corner to put the Eagles on top, 71-70, leaving three seconds for the Yellow Jackets to respond. In that time Georges-Hunt was able to hoist a desperation shot from beyond the arc, which fell through the net, but he was also fouled and hit the ensuing free-throw to give Georgia Tech the win.

Boston College lost despite a 19-4 scoring edge off of turnovers.
