Athens, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - D.J. Covington registered a monster double- double with 29 points and 11 rebounds to lift the Virginia Military Keydets to a 92-90 win over the Ohio University Bobcats in a quarterfinal round matchup in the CollegeInsider.com Tournament at the Convocation Center.

Rodney Glasgow also came up huge for VMI (22-12) as he netted 30 points on 11- of-19 shooting from the floor. Brian Brown chipped in 10 points and Q.J. Peterson pulled down nine boards for the Keydets, who will advance to face an opponent that is yet to be determined.

VMI was limited to just 32.4 percent efficiency from the floor in the first half and went into the intermission trailing, 46-39, despite converting 11-of-12 attempts at the free-throw line before the break.

The Keydets heated up to sink 67.9 percent of their shots from the field in the second stanza, while the Bobcats hit on 55.2 percent from the floor. VMI went on a 16-8 run to take an 81-70 lead by the 5:30 mark of the second half and managed to stay in front the rest of the way.
