Tucson, AZ (Sports Network) - Matt Scott threw for 256 yards and four touchdowns as the Arizona Wildcats crushed the Washington Huskies, 52-17, in a Pac-12 Conference clash.

Scott, who also scored once on the ground, converted 14-of-22 passes and was picked off once as the Wildcats (4-3, 1-3 Pac-12) snapped a three-game slide. Ka'Deem Carey accounted for a game-high 172 yards and a score on the ground as well for the hosts.

The Huskies (3-4, 1-3), losers of three in a row, were paced by Keith Price who hit on 29-of-52 passes for 256 yards and a score, but he was also picked off twice and sacked four times on the night. Austin Seferian-Jenkins caught eight passes for a career-high 110 yards and a touchdown.

Washington actually scored the first points of the night as kicker Travis Coons knocked through a 43-yard field goal at the 9:49 mark of the first quarter, but from there the Wildcats rattled off 24 straight points to surge ahead and set the tone for the rest of the meeting.

Just two minutes after that field goal by the Huskies, Scott connected with David Richards on a 27-yard TD strike, followed by a 24-yard field goal by Arizona kicker John Bonano and a one-yard TD run by Scott to make the score 17-3.

Late in the second frame Scott hooked up with Garic Wharton on a 33-yard TD pass play.

With 3:41 remaining in the first half Price and Seferian-Jenkins combined on a six-yard TD pass play to cut the deficit to 24-10.

A flurry of action closed out the second quarter as Scott found Austin Hill for a 53-yard TD for the hosts, while Bishop Sankey's one-yard TD run for the Huskies with 13 seconds to play before the break made the score 31-17.

Arizona put the game away in the third as Scott tossed a 17-yard TD pass to Hill and Richard Morrison was credited with a 63-yard punt return for a score as well.

The only points of the fourth quarter came courtesy of Carey who hit the end zone on a two-run run to provide the Wildcats with the comfortable 35-point margin of victory.

Washington, which was penalized 10 times for 100 yards, allowed 533 yards in the outing.
