College Park, MD (Sports Network) - Niklas Sade connected on a 43-yard field goal with 32 seconds left to play to lift the NC State Wolfpack to a 20-18 victory over the Maryland Terrapins in an ACC matchup at Byrd Stadium.

Mike Glennon led NC State (5-2, 2-0 ACC) to its second win in a row by throwing for 307 yards and two touchdowns on 23-of-47 passing. Bryan Underwood set a new-career high with 134 yards on six catches and made his eighth touchdown reception of the season. Underwood extended his streak of consecutive games with a touchdown catch to seven. Earl Wolff led the defense with 13 tackles and a forced fumble.

Perry Hills completed 12-of-20 attempts for 159 yards with an interception for Maryland (4-3, 2-1), which had won its previous two games. Wes Brown set a career-high with 121 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries. Brown came into the contest with 150 rushing yards on 33 attempts.

The Terps scored the only first quarter points as Brad Craddock made a 36-yard field goal.

NC State's offense began to click in the second frame. The Wolfpack marched 50 yards down the field in four plays before Glennon completed a 25-yard touchdown pass to Logan Winkles at the 11:16 mark of the second quarter. Sade added three points for the Wolfpack by connecting on a field goal from 21 yards away which gave NC State a 10-3 lead as the game neared the intermission.

Maryland finally started clicking offensively after the break and produced an eight-play, 44-yard drive which was punctuated by a one-yard touchdown rush by Brown. However, Craddock's extra point attempt was unsuccessful, which allowed NC State to stay in front by one point.

The Wolfpack quickly responded as Glennon completed a 68-yard touchdown pass to Underwood on the next play from scrimmage. Glennon's second touchdown pass gave NC State a 17-9 lead.

The Terrapins fought back. With 3:33 left in the third quarter Devin Burns rushed two yards for a touchdown. Burns was stopped on the ensuing two-point conversion attempt.

Craddock gave Maryland an 18-17 lead early in the fourth quarter by drilling a 48-yard field goal.

Both defenses held their own for most of the final frame until NC State managed to produce a 10-play, 54-yard drive to put Sade in position for the game- winner.

Caleb Rowe came in for Maryland on its final drive and passed for 50 yards and rushed for 11. The Terps called timeout with six seconds remaining on NC State's six-yard line, but Craddock's 33-yard field goal attempt for the win hit left upright and the Wolfpack escaped with the road victory.

This contest broke the series tie and gave NC State a 33-32-4 all-time record against Maryland.
