Stillwater, OK (Sports Network) - No. 19 Oklahoma State had no problem against Savannah State, winning in an 84-0 rout.

Starting quarterback Wes Lunt, a freshman who is replacing Brandon Weeden, completed all 11 of his passes in his debut. He threw for 129 yards and led the Cowboys to a 35-point first quarter.

"Well I listen to what's being said on the head sets and I think that, for the most part, he played pretty well and (did) what they asked him to do," Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy said of Lunt. "(He) got the ball where it was supposed to be and distributed it."

Oklahoma State (1-0) ran for 395 yards. Joseph Randle had six carries for 107 yards and the team's first two touchdowns of the night.

Jeremy Smith took over for Randle and ran for 37 yards on five carries and scored three times.

Meanwhile, Savannah State (0-1) only picked up 139 yards on the night and only crossed midfield once.

"There were some proud moments and sometimes you have to take baby steps," Savannah State coach Steve Davenport admitted. "We will watch the film, but there were some things we saw that we were proud of. Our kids fought."

Antonio Bostick completed 12-of-25 passes for 81 yards with two interceptions for Savannah State.

Savannah State also struggled on the ground, running for 58 yards on 41 carries.
