Recap: Colorado vs. Washington

Boulder, CO (Sports Network) - Keith Price completed five touchdown passes as the Washington Huskies cruised to a 38-3 victory over the Colorado Buffaloes in Pac-12 Conference tilt at Folsom Field.

Price completed 22-of-29 attempts for 248 yards to lead Washington (7-4, 5-3 Pac-12) to its fourth win in a row. Kasen Williams led all receivers with 80 yards and a touchdown on seven receptions while Bishop Sankey paced the Huskies' rushing attack by turning 23 carries into 139 yards. The Washington defense held its opponent to 141 yards of total offense. The unit was anchored by Travis Feeney, who recorded 10 solo tackles and a sack in the victory.

Colorado (1-10, 1-7) could not get anything going offensively and achieved just 10 first downs. Jordan Webb and Connor Wood both saw action under center, but neither found any success. Webb was sacked four times and generated just 33 yards on 6-of-16 passing while Wood tossed interceptions on two of his six attempts. Christian Powell picked up 66 yards on 17 carries, but the Buffaloes were held to just 90 team rushing yards as they were handed their seventh consecutive loss.

Both sides delivered unflinching performances on the defensive side of the ball in the first half. The game remained tied at 0-0 until one minute before halftime when Price connected with Cody Burns for a three-yard touchdown pass. The made extra point by Travis Coons sent the Huskies into the intermission with a 7-0 advantage.

Washington's defense sparked a huge second half run by forcing and recovering two fumbles that returned the ball to its offense with a short field. Price took advantage of the great field position by completing a 17-yard touchdown pass to Kasen Williams before finding Kendyl Taylor for a 23-yard passing play that resulted in six points.

Colorado stopped the 21-0 run at the 6:15 mark of the third frame when Will Oliver made a field goal from 37 yards out, but the Buffaloes were unable to produce any more points the rest of the way.

The Huskies added three points with a 25-yard field goal by Travis Coons with just over a minute left before the final quarter. Price completed touchdown passes to Austin Seferian-Jenkins and Jaydon Mickens in the fourth quarter to complete the 38-3 rout on the road.

Washington's offensive unit scored on 5-of-7 trips to the red zone while its defense forced five turnovers to keep Colorado at bay.
