Recap: Washington vs. Utah

Seattle, WA (Sports Network) - Keith Price completed 24-of-33 attempts for 277 yards and two touchdowns to lift the Huskies as Washington picked up a 34-15 victory over the Utah Utes in a Pac-12 Conference tilt at CenturyLink Field.

Price also rushed for a touchdown to help the Huskies (6-4, 4-3 Pac-12) become bowl eligible. Bishop Sankey paced the rushing attack for Washington with 162 yards and two touchdowns on 36 carries. Austin Seferian-Jenkins made seven catches for 99 yards and Kasen Williams reeled in seven receptions for 73 yards and a score. John Timu tied for the team-high with nine total tackles and also recorded an interception in the winning effort.

John White gained 142 yards and scored on two of his 22 carries for Utah (4-6, 2-5), which had its two-game winning streak snapped. Travis Wilson struggled under center for the Utes, completing only 8-of-23 attempts for 55 yards with an interception. Wilson was sacked four times as well.

The Utes held an early lead after the first 15 minutes as White's 46-yard touchdown run was the only scoring play of the opening quarter. Jake Murphy rushed in it for two-points on the ensuing conversion attempt to give Utah an 8-0 edge.

Price completed an eight-yard touchdown pass with 11:28 left before the intermission for the Huskies' first points. Price rushed four yards into the end zone with just over two minutes before the intermission to give Washington a 14-8 advantage at the halftime break.

The Huskies extended their lead to 21-8 at the 10:13 of the third quarter when Price completed a nine-yard pass for six points to DiAndre Campbell.

Utah finally ended the run and made it a one possession game as White dashed 20 yards across the goal line to punctuate a nine-play, 61-yard drive. White's second touchdown of the contest made it 21-15 with 6:06 remaining in the third stanza.

Washington took back control as Sankey rushed for a touchdown in both of the final quarters which buried the Utes' hope for a comeback.

Utah gained only nine first downs in the contest while the Huskies amassed 22 first downs. Washington gained 437 yards of total offense and limited the Utes to only 188 yards.
