Recap: Indiana vs. Ohio State

Bloomington, IN (Sports Network) - Braxton Miller threw for 211 yards and two touchdowns and added 149 yards on the ground with a score in No. 8 Ohio State's 52-49 win over Indiana.

Miller completed 13-of-24 passes with an interception, while Carlos Hyde added 156 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries for the Buckeyes, (7-0, 3-0 Big Ten) who extended their winning streak over the Hoosiers to 18 games.

"We are 7-0 and we ran the ball for 350 yards and had two guys really haul it running the ball," Ohio State coach Urban Meyer remarked.

Devin Smith had 106 yards receiving and two touchdowns, while Philly Brown hauled in six balls for 51 yards in the victory.

Cameron Coffman threw for 275 yards and a score on 22-of-44 efficiency for the Hoosiers (2-4, 0-3), who have dropped four straight contests.

"That is a good football team we played," Indiana coach Kevin Wilson said of the Buckeyes. "I think they do things in great ways. I appreciate our kids fighting and competing with them, we just have to find ways to get it done."

Stephen Houston carried the ball 11 times for 91 yards and a pair of scores, and added a touchdown receiving in the setback.

Following a Miller interception, Shane Wynn's 76-yard TD catch for Indiana cut the deficit to 31-24 midway through the third quarter.

Ohio State answered with an 8-play, 75-yard drive, which was capped when Kenny Guiton found Hyde for a 14-yard touchdown and a 38-24 advantage.

Mitch Ewald nailed a 44-yard field goal on the Hoosiers' next trek, but the Buckeyes again drove the length of the field to widen the gap even more.

After rushing for 21 yards down to the 1-yard line a play before, Hyde finished off the 10-play, 78-yard trek with a TD plunge and a 45-27 margin.

D'Angelo Roberts ran it in from a yard out on Indiana's next possession, which preceded Smith's 46-yard catch-and-run for a score.

Nate Sudfeld came on for Coffman and found Duwyce Wilson for a 12-yard score with 1:40 left, and following a recovered onside kick, Sudfeld hooked up with Houston for a 25-yard touchdown with 1:05 remaining.

Cody Latimer ran in the two-point conversion to make it 52-49, but Ohio State recovered the onside kick this time to seal the win.

Earlier, the Buckeyes scored on two of their first three possessions to jump out to a 10-0 lead.

Brown concluded the opening 9-play, 75-yard march with a 12-yard TD run and Drew Basil made a 35-yard field goal later in the frame.

Indiana countered with a pair of Houston TD runs, before Ohio State answered with two touchdowns of its own.

Houston broke off a 59-yard TD run on the Hoosiers' ensuing series, and after an Ohio State punt was blocked, Houston scampered in from seven yards out to give Indiana a 14-10 edge.

A bit later in the period, Travis Howard blocked an Erich Toth punt in the end zone and Bradley Roby pounced on the ball for the score.

Following an Indiana three-and-out, Miller hit Smith for a 60-yard score with 2:31 left in the half, which gave Ohio State a 24-14 lead.

Ewald made a 22-yard field goal on the Hoosiers' opening possession of the second half, but Miller scampered for a 67-yard score on Ohio State's next offensive snap to make it 31-17.
