Recap: Tulane vs. ULM

New Orleans, LA (Sports Network) - Kolton Browning threw for 253 yards and three scores to lead the ULM Warhawks in a 63-10 rout of the Tulane Green Wave at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

Browning completed 15-of-21 pass attempts and DeVontae McNeal rushed for 114 yards and a score on 10 carries for ULM (2-2), which ended a two-game losing streak. Jyruss Edwards added 55 yards on the ground and two scores while Je'Ron Hamm had a game-high 86 yards receiving.

In his first career start, D.J. Ponder completed only 21-of-44 pass attempts and was intercepted three times for Tulane (0-4). Ponder finished with 160 yards passing while Justyn Shackleford pulled in seven passes for 76 yards. The Green Wave have now lost 14 straight games dating back to last season.

Edwards scored on a seven-yard rushing touchdown just two minutes into the game for ULM.

The Warhawks would add two more touchdowns before the first quarter was over. The first was a two-yard touchdown pass from Browning to Kevin Steed. The second touchdown came in a less traditional manner as Ray Stovall recovered a fumble in the end zone by teammate R.J. Young after Young returned a Ponder interception 49 yards.

Tulane got on the scoreboard for the first time with a 54-yard field goal from Cairo Santos early in the second quarter.

A 29-yard passing touchdown from Browning to Hamm midway through the second quarter put ULM ahead 28-3.

Browning tossed yet another touchdown pass, this time a 38-yard strike to Tavarese Maye, as the Warhawks continued to dominate in the first half.

Edwards was responsible for the first score of the second half, running in from three yards out to stretch the ULM lead to 42-3 just two and a half minutes into the third quarter.

Just under two minutes later, ULM got into the end zone again, this time on a one-yard rushing touchdown from Monterrell Washington.

Darius Lively then returned an interception from Ponder six yards for a score as ULM's lead expanded to 56-3.

The Green Wave scored their first touchdown of the game early in the fourth quarter when Ponder connected with Ryan Grant for an 18-yard scoring strike.

ULM added another score on a 42-yard rushing touchdown from McNeal with just under three minutes left in regulation.

ULM out-gained Tulane by a 553-151 margin and had 28 first downs to only 11 by the Green Wave. Tulane finished with minus-nine yards rushing.
