Murfreesboro, TN (Sports Network) - Logan Kilgore completed 20-of-30 passes for 349 yards and three touchdowns to push the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders to a 38-21 victory over the North Texas Mean Green in a Sun Belt Conference tilt at Johnny "Red" Floyd Stadium.

Kyle Griswould was a big play machine for Middle Tennessee (5-3, 3-1 Sun Belt), as he caught three passes for 140 yards and two scores. Anthony Amos reeled in a team-high eight receptions for 121 yards and a touchdown. Jordan Parker gained 55 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries for the Blue Raiders, who won for the second time in three games. Jajuan Harley had a big day on the other side of the ball for Middle Tennessee with a team-high 14 tackles and an interception.

Derek Thompson struggled under center for North Texas (3-5, 2-2), completing 17-of-29 attempts for 221 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions. Brandin Byrd picked up a team-high 87 yards on 18 carries and Antoinne Jimmerson tallied 85 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries. Marcus Trice led the Mean Green with eight total tackles and two tackles for loss.

The Blue Raiders began their dominance in the opening quarter as Kilgore threw an 18-yard touchdown pass to Amos for the first points of the game. Kilgore struck again with 6:38 seconds left in the first frame when he completed a 72- yard touchdown strike to Griswould.

Carlos Lopez added a 21-yard field goal with just over a minute left in the first quarter to give Middle Tennessee a 17-0 advantage.

The Blue Raiders were not as explosive in the second quarter, but managed to add another touchdown as Kilgore and Griswould hooked up with a 47-yard scoring pass with 2:24 left before the intermission.

Middle Tennessee carried its first half momentum through the intermission and scored again just a minute after the start of the third quarter when Parker rushed four yards across the goal line.

North Texas finally put points on the board with 10:20 left in the third period as Antoinne Jimmerson dashed two yards into the end zone to finish off an eight-play, 73-yard drive.

Kilgore wasted no time answering and he produced a 45-yard touchdown run on the third play of Middle Tennessee's ensuing drive.

The Mean Green continued to fight back and Thompson connected on a 13-yard touchdown pass to Carlos Harris to make it 38-14.

Jimmerson scored on a 15-yard touchdown run with 6:38 remaining, but neither side managed to score again and North Texas was defeated, 38-21.

UNT's inability to protect the ball stifled its chances as it committed four turnovers while the Blue Raiders were giveaway free.
