Oxford, OH (Sports Network) - Dri Archer ran for 151 yards and two touchdowns, adding a third score through the air, as he helped lead the Kent State Golden Flashes to a 48-32 win over the Miami-Ohio RedHawks in Mid-American Conference action at Yager Stadium.

Archer carried the ball 11 times for the Golden Flashes (9-1, 6-0 MAC) and caught two passes for another 54 yards as the team won for the eighth straight outing. Trayion Durham accounted for a game-high 172 yards rushing and a pair of scores, while Spencer Keith converted 10-of-16 passes for 147 yards, one TD and a couple of interceptions.

The RedHawks (4-6, 3-3) were paced by Zac Dysert, who connected on 37-of-50 passes for 455 yards and four touchdowns, but he was also sacked five times and intercepted twice as the team bowed for the second straight game and fourth time in five outings. Nick Harwell caught a game-high 10 balls for 122 yards and a TD, while Andy Cruse generated 123 yards and two scores on eight catches.

Kent State opened the meeting with four straight touchdowns, beginning with a 10-yard run by Durham early in the first quarter and followed by TD runs of 35 and 43 yards by Archer in the period as well.

In the second frame, Durham struck again for the visitors, this time from nine yards out to make the score 28-0.

Miami finally stopped the bleeding midway through the second when Dysert combined with Harwell on a 12-yard TD pass play. The hosts also picked up a 33-yard field goal by Kaleb Patterson with 15 seconds remaining in the half, but in between Keith ran for a 28-yard TD of his own for the Flashes, giving Kent State a 35-10 advantage at the break.

Midway through the third quarter, Dysert needed just two plays to move the ball 55 yards as he found Cruse with a 47-yard scoring strike, while a two- point conversion between the pair cut the deficit to 35-18.

Kent State kicker Freddy Cortez booted a 48-yard field goal with just over four minutes remaining in the third and then added a 32-yard effort in the fourth as well to again build the lead for the visitors.

Less than two minutes into the fourth Kent State struck again, this time on a 33-yard pass play between Keith and Archer.

Miami cut into the deficit with two more touchdowns in the final stanza as Dysert tossed a nine-yard TD to Cruse and then connected with Dawan Scott for a seven-yard effort, but still the hosts suffered the double-digit setback.

The Golden Flashes generated 546 yards of total offense and yet still only converted 3-of-9 on third down.
