Recap: Washington vs. Colorado

Seattle, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - Keith Price accounted for four total touchdowns as the Washington Huskies coasted to a 59-7 decision over the Colorado Buffaloes in a Pac-12 Conference matchup at Husky Stadium.

Price completed 22-of-29 pass attempts for 312 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for a pair of scores for the Huskies (6-3, 3-3 Pac-12) as they became bowl eligible as they became bowl eligible for the fourth consecutive season with the victory. Jaydon Mickens made five receptions for 72 yards while Austin Seferian-Jenkins reeled in three passes for 62 yards and a score. Bishop Sankey racked up 143 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries to lead Washington in rushing.

Sefo Liufau paced Colorado (3-6, 0-6) with 160 yards and a touchdown on 12- of-22 passing efficiency. Liufau was also picked off twice. Christian Powell gained 73 yards on 12 rushing attempts and Paul Richardson made three catches for 77 yards, including a 53-yard touchdown grab. The loss was the third in a row for the Buffaloes, who remain the only team in the conference's South division without a league victory.

The Huskies took an early lead as they ended the opening drive of the game with a 27-yard field goal by Travis Coons. They extended their lead to 10-0 at the 6:39 mark of the first quarter when Sankey rushed one yard across the goal line for a score.

Colorado ended the early run as Liufau completed a 53-yard touchdown pass to Richardson with just under four minutes remaining in the opening quarter.

Washington put the game out of reach in the second quarter with three consecutive touchdowns to close out the half. Price completed a six-yard pass for a score to Joshua Perkins just seconds after the beginning of the quarter. Price rushed 18 yards for a touchdown at the 3:19 mark of the period before completing a 15-yard strike to Seferian-Jenkins just before the end of the half. Travis Coons sent his extra point attempt through the uprights to give the Huskies a 31-7 lead at the break.

Washington's defense helped the cause in the early stages of the third quarter as Tre Watson picked off Liufau and returned the interception 16 yards for a score. After Price scored on a four-yard touchdown run at the 7:04 mark of the third stanza, Josh Shirley forced Colorado's Tony Jones to fumble. Marcus Peters recovered the loose ball and returned the fumble 53 yards to give Washington a commanding, 52-7 advantage with just under four minutes remaining before the start of the fourth frame.

The run continued in the fourth frame as Washington added another score courtesy of a five-yard touchdown run by Dwayne Washington for the only points of the quarter.

Washington finished the game with a dominant, 628-299, edge in total yards of offense and moved the chains 28 times compared to only 15 first downs by Colorado.
