Recap: Air Force vs. Notre Dame

USAFA, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Tommy Rees threw for a career-high five touchdowns as the Notre Dame Fighting Irish posted a 45-10 victory over the Air Force Falcons at Falcon Stadium.

Rees completed 17-of-22 pass attempts for 284 yards for Notre Dame (6-2), which has won three-straight games. TJ Jones brought in seven passes for 102 yards and a touchdown and William Fuller added 93 yards and a score on two grabs.

Nate Romine rushed for 76 yards on 21 carries and added 37 yards on 6-of-10 passing for Air Force (1-7), which has lost seven-straight.

It was Air Force that was able to claim the first lead of the contest when Colton Huntsman scored on a 10-yard touchdown run. The score extended the Falcons' national-best streak of games with a rushing touchdown to 55.

Notre Dame wasted no time in responding as Rees threw a 35-yard touchdown pass to Corey Robinson on the Irish's next possession.

The Irish then took the lead on a 46-yard touchdown pass from Rees to Fuller.

Following a 47-yard field goal from Will Conant for Air Force, the Irish got another touchdown when Rees hooked up with Ben Koyack on a 22-yard scoring pass.

Kyle Brindza booted a 51-yard field goal later in the period to stake the Irish to a 24-10 lead.

Rees recorded his fourth touchdown pass of the contest midway through the third quarter with a 30-yard strike to Jones.

He wouldn't stop there as Chris Brown brought in a 15-yard pass for a touchdown from Rees later on in the frame.

Early in the fourth quarter the Irish found the end zone yet again, this time when Andrew Hendrix scored on a four-yard touchdown run.
