Recap: Middle Tennessee vs. FIU

Murfreesboro, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - Logan Kilgore threw for 269 yards and accounted for two total touchdowns as the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders rolled up a 48-0 victory over the FIU Panthers in a Conference USA clash at Floyd Stadium.

Kilgore completed 17-of-20 pass attempts and had a touchdown through the air and on the ground for Middle Tennessee (6-4, 4-2 C-USA). Shane Tucker tallied 95 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries. Tavarres Jefferson had four receptions for 44 yards and a touchdown.

E.J. Hilliard threw for 133 yards and an interception on 10-of-15 passing for FIU (1-8, 1-4) while Lamarq Caldwell had 48 yards on 14 carries.

Tucker got off to a fast start as he scored a pair of touchdowns in the first eight minutes. The first came on a 48-yard run on the Blue Raiders' first possession. When the Blue Raiders got the ball back, Tucker scored again, this time on a 17-yard run.

Cody Clark tacked on a 22-yard field goal in the early goings of the second quarter to give the Blue Raiders a 17-0 advantage.

Middle Tennessee extended its lead to 24-0 before intermission with a four- yard touchdown run from Kilgore.

The Blue Raiders took no time in posting points after the break as Kevin Byard collected an interception and returned it 51 yards for a touchdown before the first minute of the half had finished.

Kilgore got the Blue Raiders on the scoreboard yet again when he threw an eight-yard touchdown pass to Jefferson less than five minutes later.

Clark knocked in another field goal, this time from 32 yards out, as the Blue Raiders continued to pour it on.

The onslaught finished as Corey Carmichael scored on a one-yard touchdown run to push the Blue Raiders to the 48-0 final score.
