Baltimore, MD (Sports Network) - C.J. Brown threw for 217 yards and a touchdown to lead the Maryland Terrapins to a 37-0 victory over the West Virginia Mountaineers in non-conference action at M&T Bank Stadium

Brown completed 16-of-25 pass attempts and added 26 yards and a score on the ground for Maryland (4-0), which remains unbeaten. Brandon Ross led the Terps in rushing with 67 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries, while Deon Long tallied six receptions for 98 yards.

For West Virginia (2-2), Ford Childress struggled, completing just 11-of-22 passes for 62 yards with two interceptions. Dreamius Smith rushed for 74 yards on 12 carries, and Charles Sims had eight receptions but for only 33 yards.

Maryland did most of its damage in the first half. Brown found Dave Stinebaugh for a six-yard touchdown pass, and less than a minute later A.J. Hendy intercepted a Childress pass and returned it 28 yards for a score. The Terps led 14-0 at the end of the first quarter.

In the second quarter, Brad Craddock kicked three field goals for Maryland (50, 36, 30). Following another Childress interception late in the half, Brown rushed in a one-yard score to give the Terps a 30-0 lead at the break.

Maryland capped off its dominating performance late in the fourth quarter with a 12-play, 89-yard drive, punctuated by a Ross three-yard score.

The Mountaineers' six turnovers proved costly. Maryland earned a 330-175 edge in total yards and possessed the ball for over 38 minutes.
