Arkansas State successfully moved the ball against Missouri early in the game but had to settle for a pair of Brian Davis field goals (41, 21). The Tigers took a 7-6 lead late in the first quarter on an eight-yard touchdown run by Marcus Murphy.

The Tigers added to their lead early in the second quarter following a 68-yard touchdown pass from Franklin to Green-Beckham, though the Red Wolves answered later in the frame when Kennedy hooked up with Jones on a 17-yard scoring strike.

Arkansas State took its first lead of the game early in the second half when Davis connected on a 44-yard field goal.

Missouri responded later in the frame by marching 94 yards in nine plays, with Franklin finishing the drive off with a five-yard touchdown pass to Washington as the Tigers regained the advantage, 20-16.

The Tigers padded their lead early in the fourth quarter after Henry Josey capped off another lengthy drive (nine plays, 87 yards) with a one-yard touchdown run.

Davis added another field goal (33 yards), but Missouri responded with a touchdown, as Franklin rushed in a score from nine yards out. The Tigers went on to add one more touchdown before it was all said and done, with Franklin and Green-Beckham hooking up on a five-yard score.
