Recap: Troy vs. ULM

Troy, AL (SportsNetwork.com) - Kolton Browning completed 21-of-31 passes for 354 yards and five touchdowns to lead the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks to a 49-37 victory over the Troy Trojans.

Ajalen Holley had four catches for 74 yards and two touchdowns, Tre' Perrier recorded a pair of TD grabs and Rashon Ceaser added three catches for 105 yards and a touchdown.

Centarius Donald carried the ball 22 times for 114 yards and a touchdown of his own for the Warhawks (5-4, 3-1 Sun Belt), who notched their third consecutive win over Troy.

Corey Robinson was 31-for-52 passing for 362 yards and two touchdowns, while Jordan Chunn ran the ball 13 times for 81 yards and one touchdown. Bryan Holmes had four catches for 67 yards and a score and Wilson Van Hooser added three grabs for 61 yards and a touchdown for the Trojans (5-4, 3-2).

Louisiana-Monroe got on the board first with a play-action pass from Browning to Holley for a 60-yard touchdown. Holley gained a step on his defender when he ran a quick slant before Browning hit him with the pass. Holley then ran 50 yards after the catch for the score with 7:12 left in the first quarter.

After another stalled Trojan drive, punter Will Scott mishandled a snap and fumbled. He was then swarmed by the Warhawks and Braxton Moore recovered the ball at the Troy 9. Two plays later, Donald rushed in from three yards out to make it 14-0 late in the first.

Robinson got Troy on the board early in the second with a 21-yard scoring strike to Van Hooser, but ULM answered with a 9-play, 75-yard march that Browning capped with a 6-yard TD pass to Holley to make it 21-7.

Troy's special teams came up with a big play late in the frame, as Eli Canton partially blocked a Warhawk punt and K.D. Edenfield scooped it up before returning it 11 yards for a score that brought the Trojans within 21-14.

Scott connected on a 43-yard field goal late in the half to send the Trojans into the break trailing by just four.

Browning extended ULM's lead with three straight scoring drives to open the second half, as he found Perrier for a 23-yard TD early in the frame before following a Troy three-and-out with a 55-yard scoring strike to Ceaser to make it 35-17 with 8:38 left in the third.

Robinson responded with a 55-yard TD pass of his own to Holmes to cut into the margin, but Browning capped ULM's ensuing drive with a 1-yard TD run for a 42-23 lead with less than a minute left in the third.

Chunn scored from two yards out early in the fourth before Robinson added a 3- yard rushing score later in the frame to bring the Trojans within 42-37 with six minutes remaining.

However, Browning and Perrier hooked up on a 29-yard touchdown on ULM's next possession before the Warhawks stopped Troy on 4th-and-10 to end the game.
