Recap: Houston vs. So Florida

Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - John O'Korn threw three touchdown passes in Houston's 35-23 triumph over South Florida.

O'Korn was 22-of-27 for 263 yards, while Deontay Greenberry caught four balls for 106 yards and a score for the Cougars (7-1, 4-0 AAC), who have won back- to-back games since their shootout loss to BYU. Kenneth Farrow had a touchdown rushing and receiving in the triumph.

Mike White completed 26-of-41 throws for 311 yards with a pair of touchdowns and an interception for South Florida (2-6, 2-2), which has dropped two straight. Andre Davis had nine receptions for 134 yards, while Mike McFarland caught a pair of TD passes in defeat.

USF was penalized 19 times for 170 yards.

O'Korn hit Greenberry for a 48-yard score to stake Houston to a 28-13 lead early in the third. Marvin Kloss, though, nailed a 49-yard field goal and after USF forced a three-and-out, McFarland capped an elongated 14-play, 75- yard march with a 2-yard TD plunge to pull the Bulls within 28-23 early in the fourth.

USF forced another Houston punt on its next touch and the Bulls moved the ball into Cougars territory when they regained possession. Faced with a 3rd-and-10 at the 27, Davis was whistled for an offensive pass interference and Tyus Bowser strip sacked White a play later as Jeremiah Farley recovered the loose ball at midfield with 3:51 left.

Farrow's 5-yard TD run with 1:40 to go sealed the outcome.

Earlier, Xavier Maxwell's 6-yard TD catch and Farrow's three-yard reception for a score, sandwiched around a Marvin Kloss 39-yard field goal, gave Houston a 14-3 advantage after a quarter of play.

White flipped an 8-yard TD pass to McFarland to get the Bulls within four early in the second, but Houston answered on its next drive as Ryan Jackson's 6-yard TD sprint made it 21-10.

Kloss' 50-yard field goal early in the third cut the Bulls' deficit to 21-13.
