Recap: Arkansas vs. UAB

Fayetteville, AR (SportsNetwork.com) - Brandon Allen threw for 205 yards and two touchdowns as the Arkansas Razorbacks routed the UAB Blazers, 45-17, in a non-conference clash at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.

Allen completed 15-of-24 pass attempts for the Razorbacks (4-4), who snapped a three-game losing streak. Jonathan Williams rushed for 153 yards and a touchdown and also caught a touchdown pass. Alex Collins ran for 82 yards and a touchdown.

Jeremia Briscoe completed just 6-of-18 pass attempts for 62 yards and a touchdown for the Blazers (4-4), who have dropped back-to-back games. Jordan Howard rushed for 90 yards on a game-high 19 carries.

A few minutes into the contest, Williams opened the scoring for the Razorbacks on a three-yard touchdown run. Midway through the opening quarter, Collins added to the lead with another three-yard touchdown rush, making it 14-0.

In the first minute of the second quarter, Allen found Williams on a 17-yard scoring pass, making it a 21-0 advantage. Soon after, offensive lineman Sebastian Tretola stepped back on an unusual, fake field goal play and completed a six-yard touchdown pass to long snapper Alan D'Appollonio. Kody Walker found the end zone at the end of a five-yard run with a minute left in the half, making it 35-0 at halftime for the visitors.

After an Adam McFain field goal from 49 yards, early in the second half, it was 38-0.

The Blazers finally got on the board a short time later, as Ty Long converted a 47-yard field goal after the hosts lost significant yardage while deep inside Arkansas territory.

Nearing the end of the third quarter, Allen connected with Jeremy Sprinkle on a 15-yard touchdown pass. The Blazers' Jamarcus Nelson returned the ensuing kickoff the length of the field for the score, but still UAB trailed by a 45-10 margin.

In the final minute, Briscoe connected with Nyiakki Height on a 33-yard touchdown pass, but it was much too late for UAB.

The Razorbacks, who scored touchdowns on their first five possessions of the day, accumulated 484 total yards on offense, holding their opponent to just 195.
