San Jose, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Tyler Ervin rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown as the San Jose State Spartans cruised past the UNLV Rebels, 33-10, in a Mountain West Conference clash at Spartan Stadium.

Joe Gray threw for 265 yards and a touchdown on 20-of-30 passing and also added a rushing touchdown for SJSU (2-3, 1-1 MWC). Jabari Carr was the leading receiver with 51 yards on five receptions.

Blake Decker and Nick Sherry shared the quarterback responsibilities for UNLV (1-5, 0-2). Decker started the game and threw for 71 yards on 6-of-10 passing. Sherry entered the game in the third quarter and completed only 5-of-18 pass attempts for 45 yards and an interception. Keith Whitely tallied 79 yards on 13 carries.

Decker found his way into the end zone from a yard out with 9:39 left in the first quarter as the Rebels claimed an early 7-0 lead.

The Spartans evened the score on the first play of the second quarter when Gray tallied a one-yard touchdown run.

They then took the lead midway through the period on a 32-yard field goal from Austin Lopez.

Lopez struck again with just under five minutes remaining in the half, this time with a 33-yard effort, and then knocked in a 47-yarder five seconds before intermission.

A 47-yard field goal from Lopez early in the third quarter and an 83-yard touchdown run from Ervin midway through the frame pushed the Spartans to a 26-7 advantage.

Gray began the fourth quarter with a 51-yard touchdown pass to Hansell Wilson as the Spartans continued to pull away.

UNLV finally put an end to its scoring drought with a 25-yard field goal from Jonathan Leiva but it was far from enough.

The Spartans enjoyed a 542-221 advantage in total yards.
