Midway through the second quarter the Vandals got on the scoreboard with Penny running for a one-yard touchdown. A few minutes later, Brown's eight- yard touchdown run tied it up at 14-14.

With just seven seconds to play before the end of the half, Luke Ferguson converted a 28-yard field goal for the Red Wolves to break the tie.

Six minutes into the second half, Penny ran two yards for his second touchdown, giving the lead to the Vandals for the first time at 21-17.

Idaho's eight turnovers made it a lot easier for the Red Wolves to pull away as they scored 35 points off those miscues.
