The Warhawks stretched their lead to 13 early in the second following a 34- yard field goal by Manton.

Troy stepped up its play late in the first half. Silvers hooked up with Holmes on a 19-yard touchdown with 5:51 to play before halftime. The Trojans took a 14-13 lead with under a minute left on another Silvers touchdown pass, this time to Worthy from four yards out.
