Monroe, LA (SportsNetwork.com) - Tyler Jones passed for 141 yards and a touchdown, and Robert Lowe rushed for 91 yards and a pair of scores as the Texas State Bobcats came from behind to defeat the UL-Monroe Warhawks, 22-18, in a Sun Belt Conference clash at Malone Stadium.

Jones completed 14-of-20 passing with a long of 40 yards for Texas State (4-3, 2-1 Sun Belt), which has won three of its last four games. Terrence Franks only caught two passes in the win, but still managed 68 yards and a touchdown for the Bobcats.

Pete Thomas completed 22-of-36 passing for 236 yards and an interception for ULM (3-4, 2-2). Centarius Donald carried the ball 21 times for 86 yards and a touchdown, and Ajalen Holley caught a team-best eight passes for 89 yards for the Warhawks, who have dropped three straight.

Justin Manton gave the Warhawks a 3-0 lead when he booted through a 51-yard field goal try with 8:37 to play in the first frame.

It was Manton again that struck for the home squad, this time with 10:47 to play in the second quarter. His 43-yard field goal gave ULM a 6-0 advantage.

Donald plunged into the end zone from six yards out to give his Warhawks a 13-0 lead with five minutes to play in the half. ULM took that lead into the midway break.

Not even four minutes into the start of the third quarter, Jones was sacked in the end zone for a safety that gave the Warhawks the 15-0 lead.

Texas State finally got on the board with 5:49 left to play in the third period when Lowe carried the ball into the end zone from 15 yards out to cut the ULM lead to 15-7.

Manton extended the Warhawks' lead even further with a 28-yard field goal to give his side the 18-7 lead. The kick came with 1:06 to play in the third quarter.

With 6:50 to play in the contest, Jones found Franks for a 40-yard touchdown pass completion. Jones ran in the ensuing two-point conversion, which cut the ULM lead to 18-15.

Texas State took its first lead of the game, 22-18, with 3:29 to play when Lowe took a handoff 21 yards for his second touchdown of the contest. That score served as the game-winning and final margin.

Texas State had the edge over ULM in rushing yards, 229-144, but couldn't match up to the Warhawks' combined offensive yardage total, 394 for ULM to 370 for the Bobcats. Texas State overcame a dismal 3-of-14 third-down conversion rate for the win.
