UCF pushed out to a 17-0 advantage in the first half as kicker Rodrigo Quirarte knocked through a 27-yard field goal for the only points of the first quarter, followed by a five-yard TD catch by J.J. Worton and a Reese 77-yard TD grab in the second period.

The Golden Hurricane finally broke through at the 5:41 mark of the second quarter as Evans found Keevan Lucas for an eight-yard score, but still the visitors trailed by double figures heading into the break.

In the third, Holman capped a nine-play, 84-yard drive with a 25-yard TD strike to Breshad Perriman, followed by Wilson's one-yard TD run late in the frame, boosting the UCF margin to 24 points before heading into a scoreless fourth stanza.

Tulsa, which converted a mere 3-of-12 on third down, generated just 201 yards of total offense, compared to 506 yards for the home team.
