Newark, DE (Sports Network) - The University of Delaware announced the hiring of three assistant football coaches with over 60 years of collegiate experience on Friday.

Join new head coach Dave Brock were Tim Weaver as defensive coordinator, Sean Devine as offensive coordinator, and John Perry as passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

"It's a tremendous compliment to the University of Delaware football program that three men who are such quality people and quality coaches wanted to come to Delaware," said Brock, who took over the program on Jan. 18. "They are all talented coaches who have great experience, especially when you consider two have been head coaches and together they have nearly 20 years experience as coordinators."

Weaver spent the last seven seasons as the head coach at Bethany College, where he also served athletic director since 2008. He also has been an assistant coach at Columbia, Harvard, West Virginia Wesleyan, Hofstra and Western Connecticut State over his 23-year career.

Devine is a 19-year coaching veteran. After beginning his coaching career at Colby College, he followed with long stints at New Hampshire and most recently Boston College.

Perry has coached at Northeastern, Brown, New Hampshire, Dartmouth and Georgetown during his 20-year career. He spent the last five seasons as Merrimack College's head coach.
