Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - When the stage was the biggest and the spotlight the brightest, Princeton University quarterback Quinn Epperly was ready.

The junior, who assumed sole possession of the Tigers' quarterback duties Saturday against Harvard, delivered a breakout performance in Princeton's three-overtime victory over the previously unbeaten Crimson. Epperly passed for six touchdowns, including the game-winner in the third overtime period.

Epperly, Towson's Telvion Clark, North Dakota State's Christian Dudzik, Eastern Kentucky's Jordan Berry, Howard's Anthony Philyaw and Eastern Washington's Cooper Kupp have been named The Sports Network FCS National Players of the Week for all Week 9 games ending Oct. 26.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Quinn Epperly, Princeton, QB, Jr., 6-1, 220, Knoxville, Tenn.

Thanks to Epperly's effort on Saturday, there are only three remaining unbeaten teams in the FCS after Week 9. Epperly's Tigers defeated Harvard, 51-48, in triple overtime behind the junior quarterback's lead. Epperly finished with 321 passing yards and six touchdowns on 37-of-50 passing. He set school records in both single-game completions and touchdown passes, and had the game-winning toss to Roman Wilson in the third overtime period. He also led his team in carries, rushing 19 times for 86 yards, as the Tigers ended Harvard's 15-gamehome winning streak. Epperly's six touchdown passes match an Ivy League record first established in 1997 by current Priceton offensive coordinator James Perry.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Telvion Clark, Towson, LB, Sr., 6-1, 230, Norfolk, Va.

The Towson defense wasn't about to let Terrance West have all the fun in Saturday's 48-32 CAA win over Richmond. Linebacker Telvion Clark set a new career mark for himself with 16 total tackles, including two tackles for loss and one sack. But Clark's most spectacular play came on one of his two forced fumbles. The senior stripped the football from Spiders quarterback Michael Strauss in the Richmond backfield, recovered the fumble and then returned it 32 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter. It was the second defensive touchdown on the day for Towson and helped the Tigers to their ninth straight road win.

CO-SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Christian Dudzik, North Dakota State, FS, Jr., 5-10, 188, Omaha, Neb.

Dudzik became the first player in the FCS this season to return two punts for touchdowns in the same game in North Dakota State's win over Indiana State. The junior safety took his first return back 43 yards with 1:18 remaining in the second quarter. His second punt return went for 68 yards early in the third quarter. Dudzik totaled 140 all-purpose yards on the two punt returns and one kickoff return, and tied the Missouri Valley Conference record of two punt return touchdowns set by Buck Phillips in 1994.

Jordan Berry, Eastern Kentucky, P, Sr., 6-5, 205, Essendon, Victoria, Australia

The big punter from Australia boomed three punts for an average of 59.3 yards in Eastern Kentucky's 31-7 win over Southeast Missouri State. Berry's three punts totaled 179 yards, which included a 76-yarder in the first quarter. The 76-yard punt was two yards shy of an EKU record, and was Berry's second punt of at least 75 yards this season. But in the second quarter, Berry provided a spark from the holder position on a perceived 42-yard field goal attempt. From his holder spot, Berry took a direct snap and ran 25 yards for a touchdown that put the Colonels up 24-0.

CO-FRESHMEN OF THE WEEK

Anthony Philyaw, Howard, RB, Fr., 6-1, 210, Los Angeles, Calif.

Philyaw's play the last two weeks has helped the Bison get something of a win streak going. Philyaw, who rushed for 121 yards and a score in Howard's win over Florida A&M last weekend, kept up the stellar play with a 98-yard, three- touchdown rushing performance against Morgan State Saturday. The freshman had 24 carries against the Bears, and has 38 in the past two weeks. He added one reception out of the backfield for four yards in Howard's 28-14 win. As a team, the Bison rushed for 315 yards against Morgan State.

Cooper Kupp, Eastern Washington, WR, Fr., 6-2, 195, Yakima, Wash.

Kupp was fantastic in Eastern Washington's win over then-No. 10 Montana at Washington-Grizzly Stadium in Missoula. Kupp was easily quarterback Vernon Adams's favorite target, as the freshman hauled in 11 receptions for 182 yards and two touchdowns in the Eagles' 42-37 win. The Jerry Rice Award candidate has a touchdown reception in all eight games this season. His 11 touchdown receptions tie him for the Big Sky lead. Kupp also recovered the Grizzlies' on-side kick attempt with 1:41 remaining in the game to ice the win for the Eagles.
