Gainesville, FL (Sports Network) - Florida quarterback Jeff Driskel is doubtful for Saturday's game against Jacksonville State due to a sprained ankle, coach Will Muschamp said Monday.

Driskel left Saturday's 27-20 victory over the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns with the injury.

"It is a sprain. It's got some swelling on it. It's a little black and blue, I think. It is a sprained ankle," Muschamp said. "We will find what he can do. He is in a walking boot right now. That is precautionary, that is what we always do with sprained ankles. We will see how the swelling goes. Some guys recover quicker than others."

Driskel has thrown for 1,324 yards and 10 touchdowns with three interceptions this season. Jacoby Brissett will start Saturday if Driskel is unable to play.

"Driskel's ankle is probably doubtful for this weekend based on the conversation I had today," Muschamp said. "We'll try to get him out on the field on Wednesday. If he can't go by then, certainly we'll go with Jacoby. I've got all the confidence in the world that Jacoby will play well."
