Washington, DC (Sports Network) - Georgetown University football coach Kevin Kelly announced a 23-member recruiting class on Thursday.

Georgetown was the only FCS program from a scholarship conference yet to announce its class. The Hoyas, though, are the only Patriot League member which doesn't offer football scholarships.

Thus, coach Kevin Kelly's recruiting class is only eligible for merit aid as the Hoyas seek to improve on a 5-6 record from last year.

The Hoyas added 13 players to the offense, six to the defense and four special- teamers. The recruits hail from 12 different states.

"Our staff did a terrific job in bringing in this year's class and we're excited for them to arrive on campus this summer," Kelly said. "This is an excellent class and it will create much needed depth to supplement our eight returning starters on defense and seven returning starters on offense."

Georgetown will kick off its season on Aug. 31 at Wagner.
