Large FCS contingent to play in College All-Star Bowl

Greenville, SC (SportsNetwork.com) - Youngstown State quarterback Kurt Hess has accepted an invitation to play in the College All-Star Bowl, becoming the latest to join a large contingent of FCS seniors in the game.

The College All-Star Bowl will be held on Feb. 14 at Furman University.

Hess recently concluded his Youngstown State career as the school-record holder in completions (706), attempts (1,135), yards (8,925), touchdown passes (75), yards per game (198.4), 200-yard passing games (24), passer rating (144.96), touchdowns responsible for (87), four-touchdown passing games (six), total offensive yards (9,459) and total offense per game (210.2).

Other FCS players who have committed to playing in the game include Furman place-kicker Ray Early; Wofford center Jared Singleton, offensive guard Tymeco Gregory, outside linebacker Alvin Scioneaux and safety James Zotto; Tennessee at Chattanooga inside linebacker Wes Dothard, cornerback Kadeem Wise and safety D.J. Key; and The Citadel running backs Darien Robinson and Ben Dupree and cornerback Brandon McCladdie.

In addition, Samford running back Fabian Truss, Charleston Southern cornerback Elijah Lee, Coastal Carolina offensive guard Jamey Cheatwood, Harvard cornerback D.J. Monroe, Liberty defensive tackle Jibrille Fewell and South Carolina State place-kicker/punter Nick Belcher.

CBS Sports Network will broadcast the game nationally, beginning at 6 p.m. ET
