Murray, KY (Sports Network) - Visits to Missouri and Bowling Green, and six home games highlight Murray State's 12-game 2013 football schedule announced on Wednesday.

"Our non-conference schedule is going to be very difficult," coach Chris Hatcher said. "We are going to be tested with two FBS games, as well as a very tough Missouri State team. We will use the opportunity to get ready for a very difficult conference schedule."

Murray State will open the season at Missouri on Aug. 31 and then travel to Bowling Green on Sept. 21.

The Racers will play six home games at Roy Stewart Stadium for the first time since 2008. They will host Campbellsville (Sept. 7) and Missouri State (Sept. 14) in non-conference action, and Tennessee Tech (Oct. 5), Austin Peay (Oct. 19, Homecoming), defending champ Eastern Illinois (Nov. 9) and Eastern Kentucky (Nov. 23) within the Ohio Valley Conference.

Murray State finished 5-6 overall and 4-4 in the OVC this past season.
