Spartanburg, SC (Sports Network) - Wofford football will open the 2013 season at Baylor and play home dates against Georgia Southern and Appalachian State in an 11-game schedule, the Southern Conference university announced Monday.

The Terriers' Aug. 31 visit to Baylor replaces their originally scheduled opener against Florida State.

Wofford shared last year's SoCon championship with Georgia Southern and Appalachian State. The Terriers will host Georgia Southern on Sept. 14 and Appalachian State on Nov. 16.

Coach Mike Ayers' squad also will play home games against Gardner-Webb (Sept. 21) and Presbyterian (Oct. 5) from the Big South Conference, and SoCon rivals Elon (Oct. 12, Homecoming) and Samford (Oct. 26).

Wofford had a 9-4 record last season and finished with the No. 7 ranking in The Sports Network FCS Top 25.
