Kerr moves into top 10 in women's world rankings

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Cristie Kerr topped Suzann Pettersen on the second playoff hole on Sunday to win the Kingsmill Championship for the third time and move into the top 10 of the women's world rankings.

Kerr's 16th career LPGA Tour title jumped her two spots in the rankings up to No. 10.

Inbee Park and Stacy Lewis remained the top two players in the rankings, while Pettersen moved up two spots to third despite the loss.

Pettersen's moved dropped Na Yeon Choi and Yani Tseng each a spot to fourth and fifth, respectively.

So Yeon Ryu, Jiyai Shin, Shanshan Feng and Ai Miyazato held firm from six through nine ahead of Kerr.

Paula Creamer stayed at 11th and Karrie Webb fell two spots to 12th. Mika Miyazato moved up two places to 13th, which dropped I.K. Kim and Catriona Matthew a spot each to 14th and 15th.

Azahara Munoz and Amy Yang remained in 16th and 17th, while 17-year-old Ariya Jutanugarn vaulted five places to No. 18 after tying for third at the Kingsmill Championship.

Jutanugarn's move dropped Angela Stanford, Lizette Salas, Mi-Jeong Jeon, Lydia Ko and Sun Ju Ahn all a spot to sit 19th through 23rd.

Lexi Thompson stayed at 24th and Karine Icher moved up a place to round out the top 25.
