Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - The Chicago Cubs made numerous roster moves on Tuesday, including activating infielder Darwin Barney from the 15-day disabled list.

Barney batted .254 with seven homers and 44 RBI in 156 games for the Cubs last season. He was placed on the DL on April 1 with a left knee laceration.

The Cubs also added pitcher Kameron Loe to the 25-man roster and selected the contract of pitcher Kevin Gregg.

Loe, who was claimed off waivers by the Cubs from the Mariners on Sunday, allowed eight runs and six homers in just 6 2/3 innings for Seattle this year. The right-hander went 6-5 with two saves and a 4.61 earned run average with the Milwaukee Brewers last season.

Gregg, 34, returns to Chicago after spending the 2009 season with the Cubs. He went 5-6 with 23 saves and a 4.72 ERA in 72 appearances that year. The right- hander played with the Blue Jays for a year before spending the past two seasons with the Orioles.

In 509 career games (eight starts) with the Angels, Marlins, Cubs, Blue Jays and Orioles, Gregg is 28-38 with 144 saves and a 4.13 ERA.

Barney, Loe and Gregg will be available for Tuesday's game against the Texas Rangers at Wrigley Field.

In addition, the Cubs designated pitcher Hisanori Takahashi and infielder Brent Lillibridge for assignment, optioned pitcher Rafael Dolis to Triple-A Iowa and claimed infielder Cody Ransom off waivers from the San Diego Padres.
