Cincinnati, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Cincinnati Reds outfielder Jay Bruce had surgery Monday to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee and could miss a month.

Bruce is hitting just .216 with three homers and 14 RBI in 30 games this season.

The 27-year-old Texas native is a career .255 hitter with 167 homers and 499 RBI over his seven-year MLB tenure -- all with the Reds.
