Rocky River, OH (Sports Network) - Cleveland Indians closer Chris Perez pleaded no contest Tuesday morning to drug abuse, a fourth-degree misdemeanor, and was found guilty of receiving a small package of marijuana shipped to his home.

Perez changed his plea from not guilty to no contest Tuesday in Rocky River Municipal Court, according to reports. He was fined $250, placed on probation for one year and ordered to speak to school kids about drugs.

Perez, a two-time All-Star, and his wife were charged with criminal complaints this past June after two packages that contained marijuana were shipped to the Perez residence in Rocky River, Ohio. Both packages were addressed to "Brody Baum," the name of the Perez family dog.

The right-handed pitcher is 5-2 with 21 saves and a 3.15 ERA in 45 games with the Indians this season.
