Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - The Cleveland Indians outrighted infielder Matt LaPorta and Brent Lillibridge to Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday.

Acquired in the CC Sabathia trade in 2008, LaPorta began the year in the minors after undergoing hip surgery and batted just .241 with one home run and five RBI in 22 games with the Indians.

Over his four seasons with the Tribe, he has hit .238 with 31 home runs and 120 RBI in 291 games.

Lillibridge played with the Red Sox, White Sox and Indians last season. In 43 games with Cleveland, he batted .216 with three homers and eight RBI.

The team also purchased the contracts of outfielder Tim Fedroff and pitchers Chen-Chang Lee from Columbus and pitchers Trey Haley and T.J. House from Double-A Akron and added them to the 40-man roster.

Additionally, pitcher Fabio Martinez was designated for assignment.
