Seattle, WA (Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim placed relief pitcher Sean Burnett on the 15-day disabled list on Sunday.
Burnett was shelved due to left forearm irritation. He had been dealing with soreness since Tuesday and tried to pitch through it, but was limited to just one appearance since.
The 30-year-old lefty has made 11 appearances this season, allowing just one run on eight hits and four walks over 8 2/3 innings.
The Angels have also reinstated pitcher Tommy Hanson from the bereavement list. Hanson was 2-1 with a 4.24 ERA in three starts before being placed on the list on Monday.
