Anaheim, CA (Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim made it official on Wednesday, agreeing to terms with pitchers Joe Blanton and Sean Burnett on two-year contracts.

Both moves were reported last week at the league's annual owners meeting in Nashville.

Burnett is coming off a strong season with the Washington Nationals in which the 30-year-old put together a 1-2 record, 2.38 earned run average and struck out 57 batters in 56 2/3 innings over 70 appearances. Left-handed batters hit just .211 off the veteran southpaw, who was a key part of Washington's surge to the 2012 National League East title.

A former first-round pick of Pittsburgh, Burnett owns a 15-23 record with a 3.58 ERA over 354 career games, all but 13 of which have come in relief, with the Pirates and Nationals.

Blanton started last season with the Philadelphia Phillies before being dealt to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Aug. 3.

The 32-year-old right-hander went a combined 10-13 with a 4.71 ERA in 31 appearances (30 starts) in 2012.

A nine-year veteran with the Phillies, Dodgers and Athletics, Blanton has a career 83-75 record with a 4.37 earned run average in 237 games, including 228 starts.
