Anaheim, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have made another move towards shoring up their bullpen, acquiring left-handed reliever Joe Thatcher from the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday.

The Angels also received outfielder Tony Campana and sent a pair of minor leaguers, outfielder Zach Borenstein and pitcher Joey Krehbiel, to Arizona.

Thatcher has pitched in 346 major league games as a southpaw specialist and has held left-handed hitters to a .221 average for his career. The 32-year-old posted a 2.63 ERA in 37 appearances for the Diamondbacks this season.

Arizona acquired Thatcher from San Diego, where he spent seven seasons, last July as part of the deal that sent pitcher Ian Kennedy to the Padres.

The move is the third by Anaheim involving a reliever in the past nine days. The Angels dealt former closer Ernesto Frieri to Pittsburgh for 2013 All-Star Jason Grilli on June 27, then landed lefty Rich Hill from the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday.

Campana, who stole 30 bases in just 89 games with the Chicago Cubs in 2012, has spent most of this season at Triple-A Reno. The 28-year-old went just 9- for-60 at the plate in 26 games with the Diamondbacks.

Borenstein entered the season ranked as the Angels' ninth-best prospect by Baseball America after slugging 28 home runs and batting .337 for Class-A Inland Empire in 2013. The 23-year-old split this season between Double and Triple A and hit .262 with seven homers and 50 RBI.

Krehbiel, 21, had a 2.00 ERA and five saves at two Single-A levels this season.

To replace Thatcher on the active roster, the Diamondbacks recalled left- hander Eury De la Rosa from Reno.

De la Rosa pitched in 19 games for Arizona last season and has gone 2-4 with a 2.52 ERA and two saves over 36 appearances for the Aces this year.
