Miami, FL (Sports Network) - The Miami Marlins continued the restructuring of their front office by promoting Michael Hill to president of baseball operations and Dan Jennings to general manager.

The moves were announced Sunday, two days after the Marlins announced that president of baseball operations Larry Beinfest and special assistant to the president of baseball operations Jim Fleming were ousted from the club's front office.

Hill, who has been with the Marlins for 11 seasons, started his baseball career as a draftee of the Texas Rangers 20 years ago. He was eventually moved to the Marlins position of GM in September of 2007.

Jennings, who had been the vice president of player development and assistant general manager, has been with the organization for 12 seasons.

Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria announced there would be no further changes to the senior executive team.

"It has always been our policy not to communicate publicly about people's careers until final decisions have been reached," Loria said. "For that reason, I wanted to wait until the end of the season to make these announcements. I hope this statement clarifies the situation and allows us to get back to the important work of improving our team for the 2014 season."

A few hours after the moves were announced, Henderson Alvarez celebrated his no-hitter in an uncustomary place -- the on-deck circle. The Marlins right- hander pitched the fifth no-hitter in club history, but was watching with a bat in his hand as Giancarlo Stanton raced home on a wild pitch in the bottom of the ninth inning to give Miami a 1-0 win over the Detroit Tigers.

Since moving into a new downtown stadium and removing "Florida" from their name, the Marlins have gone 131-193, including a 62-100 record this year.
