Minneapolis, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - The Minnesota Twins have reportedly agreed to a three-year contract with free-agent pitcher Phil Hughes.

According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, the club will pay the 27-year-old right-hander $24 million. Hughes still has to take a physical, according to the report.

The news of Hughes' deal comes on the heels of starter Ricky Nolasco reportedly agreeing to a four-year, $49 million contract with the Twins earlier in the week.

Hughes spent his first seven seasons with the New York Yankees, who selected the 6-foot-5 hurler in the first round of the 2004 draft.

He concluded his tenure in the Bronx with a subpar 2013, going 4-14 with a 5.19 earned run average in 29 starts and one relief appearance.

For his career, Hughes has compiled a 56-50 record with a 4.54 ERA in 182 games, including 132 starts.
