Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - San Francisco Giants outfielder Angel Pagan is set to undergo surgery on his left hamstring on Tuesday and is expected to miss 10-12 weeks.

The bothersome hamstring has kept Pagan out of the lineup for the last 26 games. He originally injured it in the early stages of a May 25 contest against Colorado, a game he would win for the Giants with an inside-the-park homer.

Pagan went on a rehab assignment last week, but pulled up lame while running out a grounder. An MRI on Friday then revealed a small tear in Pagan's hamstring tendon.

Dr. Neal El Attrache is scheduled to perform the surgery in Los Angeles on Pagan, who signed a four-year, $40 million contract with the Giants this past offseason.

Gregor Blanco is expected to become the Giants' primary center fielder and leadoff hitter. Outfielders Andres Torres and Juan Perez will also continue to see time to help fill the void.

Pagan has hit for a .262 batting average with three homers, 24 RBI and six stolen bases in 46 games this season.
