Arlington, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - The Texas Rangers and left-handed reliever Neal Cotts have agreed to terms on a one-year contract for next season, the team announced Wednesday.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but several Dallas-area media outlets reported it was worth $2.2 million.

Cotts, who was eligible for salary arbitration, had a 1.11 earned-run average in 58 games last season, the best in Rangers history for a relief pitcher.

He was 8-3 in his first MLB season since 2009, tying for the major league lead in relief wins.

The Rangers signed Cotts in 2012. He played for both Chicago teams, the White Sox and Cubs, between 2003-09 and has a career record of 18-15 with a 3.99 ERA in 342 games, all but five of them out of the bullpen.

Pitchers Neftali Feliz and Alexi Ogando and first baseman Mitch Moreland are the only Rangers players who remain eligible for salary arbitration.
