The injury occurred in the bottom of the first when Baltimore starter Miguel Gonzalez hit Cabrera with fastball. X-rays were negative, and Cabrera is considered day-to-day.

Cabrera was replaced by Nolan Reimold in his next at-bat in the third inning.
