Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - The Toronto Blue Jays made various roster moves on Wednesday, including placing third baseman Brett Lawrie on the 15-day disabled list.

Lawrie, who is dealing with a left ankle sprain, is only batting .209 this season with five home runs and 14 RBI. He suffered the injury while stealing second base during Toronto's 9-3 victory over Atlanta on Monday.

In addition, Toronto optioned pitcher Thad Weber to Triple-A Buffalo, designated pitcher Ramon Ortiz and first baseman Clint Robinson for assignment, recalled pitcher Todd Redmond from Buffalo and selected the contracts of pitchers Neil Wagner and Juan Perez from Buffalo.

Redmond made two appearances with Buffalo this season with one start, going 1-0 with a 9.53 ERA. The right-hander has only appeared in one MLB game, starting a contest for the Reds in August of 2012.

Wagner has appeared in 19 games for the Bisons this year, posting a 1-0 record with a 0.89 ERA and 13 saves. The right-hander appeared in six games for the Oakland Athletics in 2011.

In 17 relief appearances for Buffalo this season, Perez went 2-1 with a 0.86 ERA and three saves. Perez is not new to the majors, pitching in 42 career games with the Pittsburgh Pirates (2006-07), Philadelphia Phillies (2011)and Milwaukee Brewers (2012).
